Ewan began singing in a community choir at eight. As a teenager he learned guitar so he could write songs, then studied breath control and harmony while working evening hospitality shifts. Small acoustic shows in his twenties taught him how to hold an audience quietly. In 2025, his late-night demos reached keyboard player Elias; their writing sessions became the starting point for the band, completed in 2026.

Mack started on a borrowed snare at nine, played school percussion, and spent his late teens alternating rock rehearsals with jazz workshops. Theatre pits and small touring ensembles developed his timing and ability to follow a singer. Bassist Theo became his regular musical partner in 2019. They joined the developing Ashen Regime sessions together in early 2026.

Classical lessons at seven gave Luca finger independence; amplified rock at thirteen gave him a new vocabulary. He later earned a living repairing guitars and recording local artists. An online duet exchange with Rowan in 2024 developed into a writing partnership. The pair answered Ewan and Elias’s call for two equal guitar voices in 2026.

Rowan began with folk fingerpicking at ten, moved to electric guitar in school bands and became fascinated by arranging two melodies at once. Session work and home recording developed his rhythmic discipline. He met Luca through their 2024 duet exchange; by 2025 they were composing harmonised instrumentals. Joining Ashen Regime in 2026 gave those ideas a vocal centre.

176 cm, wiry build, light skin with freckles, straight dark-auburn hair to the jaw and blue-grey eyes. Black work jacket, burgundy shirt and a pearl-white six-string guitar. Usually on the viewer’s right.

Theo learned piano at home before choosing bass at twelve. Soul, gospel and funk groups taught him to connect harmony to rhythm; later rock projects gave him room for counter-melodies. He first worked with Mack in 2019. Their shared instinct for making a chorus lift led to a joint invitation into Ashen Regime in 2026.

Piano lessons began at six. Gospel accompaniment in adolescence led to jazz harmony, then a fascination with the power of rock organ. In his twenties and thirties he arranged for singers and worked in small studio projects. He discovered Ewan’s demos in 2025 and helped recruit the complete six-member line-up in 2026.
